The Amstel Gold Race is an annual one-day road cycling race in Limburg, Netherlands that marks the start of the Ardennes Classics Week. The race is known to be challenging due to its length and challenging terrain. The winner of this race needs to be a strong, punchy climber in order to challenge for the win.
The Ardennes Classics Week is a one week period where 3 races are held within the region, starting with Amstel Gold Race and followed by La Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege, all of which you can enjoy as a guest of Team Visma | Lease a Bike.

Age Limit: No children under 12 years old. For children between 12 and 16, please be aware that the experience is a long, all day experience with a lot of travelling. Please make sure they are aware of this before booking.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike ‘in the Heart of the Race’ VIP experiences
The day begins with our Team Visma | Lease a Bike host who will meet you to begin your race day experience. Your host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race. The first stop is a visit to the team hotel near Compiegne where one of the team Directors will share the team’s race strategy with you for the day.
After visiting the team hotel, we set off for the start area in Compiegne where you will visit the Team Bus to see how a World Tour Cycling Team prepare for a race day. From there you visit the start village for the team presentations and rider sign on. Now it’s time for the race to get underway.
You will be in an official Team Visma | Lease a Bike vehicle with full race accreditation for access to the race course. Drive on the cobbles through the crowds. The vehicle is equipped with a map of the official race route, race radio and live TV coverage. During the day you will stop at multiple points on the roadside and we will stop for lunch along with having snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
We aim to arrive at the finish in Roubaix in time to see it live but we can’t guarantee this as it depends on how the race plays out on the day. Once the race and podium ceremonies are over the full race day experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike draws to a close. Your host will take you to the end point.

Maarten Tjallingii
Maarten professional career spanned 20 years covering both Road and MTB. He has ridden for the following teams; Vredestein Cannondale, Marco Polo, Skill Shimano, Silence-Lotto, Rabobank, Blanco, Belkin and Lotto Jumbo.
Eddy Bouwmans
Eddy has been since 2016. His professional career spanned 8 years from 1990 – 1997 riding for the following teams; Panasonic, Histor Novemail, Novell Software and Foreldorado-Golff.
